Major actors in this oil are Castor oil and Turmeric extract.
Castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid. These types of fats act as humectants and result in moisturizing the skin. Humectants retain moisture by preventing water loss through the outer layer of the skin. Castor oil stimulates tissue growth so that a barrier can be formed between the wound and the environment, decreasing the risk of infection. Whilst cleaning your skin it also keeps it moisturized.
Turmeric extract contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory components. The curcumin found in turmeric can help wounds heal by decreasing inflammation and oxidation. It also lowers the response of your body to cutaneous wounds. This results in your wounds healing more quickly. Its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties might help soothe psoriasis flareups, When applied to the skin, turmeric can temporarily stain the skin or leave a yellow residue. This is normal and can be rinsed away. It also means it might stain your towel, though it is worth it.
Note that we do not suggest washing your skin with soap after oil cleansing.
This is a Rinse off formula!
Apply on dry skin, massage in circular movements, rinse off with warm water and a soft washcloth. Gently without pulling the skin. Finish with the usual skincare ritual.
We suggest not using soap on the face after oil cleansing.
